Marc Nicolas DiPiero, 76, died peacefully on November 1, 2024 due to complications resulting from his extended battle with CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia). He is survived by his son, Andrew, his former wives Linda and Kim, and many, many friends.
Marc was born and reared in Philadelphia. After graduating from high school he briefly lived in California and then settled in the Tampa Bay area where he furthered his education. Marc pursued a double major at the University of South Florida and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Literature, and Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He then completed the MBA program ,with honors, at the University of Tampa. Having also earned a CPA designation, he began his professional career in Public Accounting. From there, he held various Accounting and CFO roles within the real estate industry and retired in 2012. A member of the Board of Directors of the C.G. Jung Library of Tampa Bay, Marc attended and contributed to every event at the library since its inception.
Marc’s interests were numerous and varied. He loved the water and had a passion for paddling. He also enjoyed playing classical guitar, reading, dancing, strength training, and, more recently, playing table tennis. He played football in high school and enjoyed racquetball in his younger days. Marc never shied away from adventure and enjoyed motorcycle trips, whitewater canoe trips and engaged in paragliding, soaring in glider planes, scuba diving, and hiking.
He cherished his relationships with friends and loved ones.
To honor Marc’s love of the water, a Celebration of Life will be held on the beach by the Clearwater Sailing Center, 1001 Gulf Boulevard, Clearwater, FL at 3:00 PM on November 17th.
Those who can attend are asked to bring a beach chair and share memories of this remarkable man. Paddlers, please bring the paddle craft of your choice if you would like to participate in the paddle-out following the Celebration.
